Surprisingly, show-goers have been drawn to the unique father-son aspect of XtahZ (think X to Z, pronounced ‘ex tuh zee’). Lead singer dad (Josh) has been performing and putting out music for decades, inspired by the original MTV DIYness he grew up on. Such antics include silk screening shirts, ironing-on patches, paper cutting fliers and building a super fun home studio and rehearsal space. While dad was self taught, his 21 year old son Yehuda learned music theory and performed in band and choir for many years under a great and strict professor. Together, they forge a unique sound as they hammer out challenges and help each other grow.

Over the course of this year, the band has moved from writing and recording into a steady release schedule, with new singles, South Florida shows, radio outreach, and a growing visual identity around the project. Rather than relying on one release, XtahZ is building consistently, with new music coming out on the first of the month, every month until their full album release in June. The focus now is on turning that early traction into a larger touring audience and the right support opportunities.
